About: Alang, Madan and Kulang are adjoining peaks and the most prominent among them is Kulang. Standing at the edge of the ghats, it commands a fabulous view all around and tough climb is amply rewarded by a most fascinating sunset.Kulang offers the highest climb from its base to the top in the Sahyadris. The huge rocky terrain, falling steeply to the Konkan presents grand sight. Trek Schedule: 04 th  July Ngt 2015: Pick Up points: @ Dadar TT – Swami Narayan Temple – 11.50 pm. @ Thane - Nitin Company – 12.30 am. 05 th  July 2015 Tentative Schedule: 04.30 am: Via Kasara will reach to base village Kurungwadi/Kulangwadi . 05.30 am: Will rest in bus itself. 06.00 am: Wakeup call. 07.05 am: Breakfast & tea. 07.35 am: Will start the trek. 12.00 am: Reach to top of the fort & explore fort and lunch. 01.30 am: Will get down from thrilling route. 06.00 pm: Will back to base. 06.30 pm: will start return journy to Dadar. 11.30 pm: Back to Dadar.

About: Surgad or God's Fort in the north-east of the Roha taluka and eight miles east of Roha town consists of a long and exceedingly narrow spur running south from the range of hills which separates Roha from Alibag and Nagothana. In February 1818 Surgad was taken, along with Avacitgad by Colonel Prother's force [Nairne's Konkan, 114; Pendhari and Maratha Wars, 208.]. Besides the building described above, there are several other small ruined houses. Local tradition ascribes the building of the fort to Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. From top you will have a great look of river Kundalika and mystique views of western ghat region.
